The Romance of the Modern Landscape
I paint timeless subjects—landscapes, cities, and the rhythm of daily life. As a romantic painter with a keen sense of reality, I’m equally captivated by buildings, water, trees, machines, and shadows as I am by people. On the canvas, there is no hierarchy; form and color unite, giving rise to atmosphere and emotion.
My work often serves as an ode to life and humanity—whether it’s a tile setter at work or the quiet labor along quays and pipes. These are the stories of our age, sometimes revealing the quiet absurdities of existence.
The paintings reflect visions of the Umbrian countryside, the bustling streets of Amsterdam and Brussels, and the endless horizon of the sea.
